The Top 10 Ways to Hand Out Your
Business Card
- Staple your business card to the information
sheet on a listing you are holding open. Invite neighbors to the open house
by handing them your information sheet when you door-knock.
- Staple your business card to a package of "forget
me not" flower seeds. Hand them out around Mother's Day or Valentine's
Day as part of your door-knocking or open house activities.
- When someone provides you with excellent service,
ask them for their card. Send them a handwritten thank-you note for their
service with your card attached.
- Make a batch of cookies and insert a popsicle
stick into each cookie. Wrap the cookie and attach your card to the ribbon
you use to tie the cookie.
- Send handwritten thank-you notes with your card
attached to all people who attend your open house.
- Staple your card to a "buyer's guide"
that has a list of this week's new listings. Distribute the guide at your
open house or when you door-knock around one of your listings.
- Distribute your cards to local businesses. Leave
a stack of cards for the business owner to distribute. In exchange, if the
business offers discounts or coupons for your potential clients, offer to
distribute their discounts/coupons at your open houses. Obtain the discount
information or coupons and staple your card to them. Distribute the discounts/coupons
as part of your regular prospecting and open house activities.
- Use a ribbon to tie your card to a See's sucker
or other kind of lollipop. Give to parents and children at your open house.
- Have mini-coloring books to give clients to
whom you show property or who attend your open house. Staple your card to
the book.
- Make sure your business card is included in
every piece of correspondence you send.
