Real Estate Sales Coaching:
Frequently Asked
Questions About Business and Personal Coaching
Why would I hire a coach? I don't play sports.
Is your life, job, and family everything you want it to be? Do you love the life you live or do you sometimes wonder if there isn't something more? Are you passionate about your work or are you counting the minutes to your next day off? Do you ever wish you had someone you could talk to who would listen and help you figure out what to do rather than telling you what they think you should do? If you're stuck in old patterns, beliefs, or habits or if want to have a life you love, have a job you're passionate about, or just need someone to help you make better life decisions, then coaching is for you.
What is coaching?
Coaching is a relatively new profession that synthesizes the best from psychology, business,
philosophy, finance, spirituality, and sports coaching to benefit clients in both their
business and personal lives. A coach is an unbiased listener who is there to help you get
what you want in life.
Why does coaching work?
Coaching works because of three unique features:
- Synergy: Client and coach become a team, focusing on the client's goals and needs
and accomplishing more than the client would alone.
- Structure: With a coach, a client takes more actions, thinks bigger, and gets
the job done, thanks to the accountability the coach provides.
- Expertise: The coach knows how to help clients make more money, make better
decisions, set the best goals, and restructure their professional and personal lives for
maximum productivity.
Who works with a coach?
Entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, and people in transition use a coach to
fix, solve, create, or plan something, personally and/or professionally.
What is worked on?
- Creating a balanced, happy life built around alignment with your core values.
- Designing an action plan that allows you to set and reach both business and personal goals.
- Integrating business and personal life.
- Handling specific business or personal problems.
- Attracting a higher quality of life.
- Making key decisions and designing strategies to implement those decisions.
- Prioritizing actions and projects.
- Training, developing, and managing staff.
- Increasing sales.
- Turning around difficult situations.
- Creating and fulfilling your own vision of the future.
- Achieving financial independence.
- Having more fun and enjoying life more.
How does coaching do this?
Coaching is delivered during regular, weekly sessions by telephone and/or in person,
whichever is most convenient. Clients bring an agenda of items to the call. The
coach helps them solve the problems and make the most of the opportunities. A coach
also helps the client to see things more clearly. When the client takes on a large
goal, the coach will help them design the project and provide the support and structure
needed to make sure it gets done. The coach brings out the client's best by offering
advice, expecting a lot, helping plan strategies, and celebrating their wins.
How much does it cost to work with a coach?
Fees typically run from $250 to $1000 per month for three one hour calls per month. Most
coaches will modify their fee if you coach only once or twice per month.
How Do I get started?
If you feel this type of relationship could work for you, begin by reviewing the biographies
of the different coaches on the site. Once you have identified your top three choices,
contact us to receive information about the coaches.
You will be personally contacted by a member of our "Rapid Response Coaching
Team" who will set up your complimentary coaching session. At the end of the
session, you will be invited to interview two additional coaches from our team to
make sure the coach you have chosen is the right coach for you.
Hire the coach of your choice and
you're ready to begin. Remember, coaching is not
something you buy, it is something you invest in because you want a better life.
What Happens During Our First Coaching
Call?
Most coaches use the first call to get to know you. The coach wants to hear about the your
goals, needs, and problems. It is also important for you to get comfortable with your
coach. Prior to the first meeting, you will receive a "Welcome Pack" from your coach.
Most coaches also use some sort of assessment to help them get to know you more quickly.
During the first meeting, you will work with your coach to design the best way the two of
you can work together to achieve your goals.
Is taking the DISC and PIAV (Personal
Interest and Values) Assessment Really Necessary?
We are asking all of our coaching clients to take these two assessments for the following reasons:
- The DISC will help you to recognize your preferred styles of communication and behavior.
It will also open the door for more effective communication between not only you and your
coach, but between you and your clients as well. Coaching specifically builds on your
strengths, not your weaknesses. The DISC will help you and your coach quickly identify
your strengths and begin this building process.
- The PIAV gives a profile of "who" you are in terms of your interests and values.
Virtually all humans relate best to those who have similar interests and values. In
coaching terms, "we attract who we are." Once you and your coach have identified your
core interests and values, you can begin strengthening your personal and business life
by building on these strengths.
